Amazon.com Product Description The CM-100L Contact Microphone is a perfect compliment to any tuner that offers an audio input jack. The mic can be positioned to get a more sensitive measurement, while allowing the tuner to be positioned for easier reading. The clip style mic is ideally suited for clipping on to the body of an instrument to pick up the tuning note directly with minimal interference from ambient sound. It can be easily clipped on to the bell of a trumpet or the headstock of a guitar, for example. Tuning via microphone can be convenient for accurate tuning in noisy environments, and the CM-100L also lets you access Korg's Sound Back mode (available on some models), which produces a reference tone closest to the input pitch you play on your instrument. The CM-100L jack is a 1/4-inch male phone connector. What's in the Box CM-100L Contact Microphone

Simple, works very well August 14, 2008 P. Brodersen (Oklahoma) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this to see if it helped in noisy environments without needing a breakout box or other DI box with effects/tuner output. It works extremely well, is quite compact, and gets my highest recommendation.
Inexpensive improvement in tuner ease.

Korg CM-100L Tuner Clip
This is one of my best recent purchases. I ordered this clip after buying numerous tuners that did not work well with acoustic guitars. This simple clip works well on all of my acoustic guitars and works as well as better than plugging in my electric guitars. If you have a Korg tuner and an acoustic instrument, you should get this!
makes tuner useful with acoustic guitar July 14, 2009 V. Reynolds (Southern California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am totally satisfied with this product. For years I struggled trying to tune acoustic guitars. This simple clip works on acoustic guitars by attaching it to the top - it picks up the vibrations directly through the wood/steel/plastic of the instrument, not the sound through the air. No more interference from background noise. Trying to tune the "old" way without this clip is now painful. I have not tried it with anything but my Korg GA-40 tuner, but I'm betting that any tuner with a 1/4" port for electric guitars should work with this. Yes it adds about $11 to the cost of your tuner, but freedom from aggravation is worth it.
Simply put, it works December 5, 2008 S. Smith (West Chester, Pa United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Your looking at this product because you have a great, true acoustic guitar: one without electronics installed. You are also probably frustrated because your electronic tuner's mic picks up ambient noise and makes it difficult to tune. If you have a relatively decent tuner but it takes too long to tune due to ambient noise, this device works and will ease 90% of the difficulty. It is a contact mic, NOT an acoustic mic, and clips unto the very top of the guitar head, past the tuners.
PS: If you do not have a decent electronic tuner, this is a great one @ $25.00: "Korg TM-40 Large Display Digital Tuner and Metronome".
The Metronome is annoying (electronic click clack), but the tuner is great.
Great product February 25, 2009 Ojibwas (H.B. Ca. USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use to use the Matrix tuner pick-up but after a while the suction cup on the tuner pick-up will wear down to where it would not stay on the the pick guard any more.I was a little pessimistic about this Korg tuner pick-up since you place on the top end of the tuner headstock, but it works great on picking up the sounds of the strings to give a good tune up. I am very pleased on its performance and I am sure it will last a long time.
